The Berry Patch, (2095561), based at the foot of Thunder Mountain, is a small grower and seller of nursery plants, vegetables, cut flowers and chickens eggs. In mid to late summer the dahlia patch bursts with color. There are over 50 varieties of dahlia flowers representing a multitude of colors, forms and sizes which are sold as tubers, plants, or bouquets. We have also grown giant pumpkins - the largest weighing in at 119 pounds - so far.

The name "The Berry Patch" comes from my love of berry picking. I have a large commercial strawberryberry patch and a large wild type strawberryberry patch where I pick my berries for jams. The commercial berries are a variety that get sweet in lower light levels - perfect for SE AK. My jams are made using the waterbath canning method.
