Producer

Farragut Farm is an off-grid, mixed vegetable farm located in remote Farragut Bay, about 25 miles northwest of Petersburg. We began growing commercially in 2010 and now cultivate 3/4 of an acre, raising 40 different varieties of vegetables. We market the majority of our produce at The Market in Petersburg from May through September, but also sell to the school, restaurants, and a grocery store in town. Any extra produce gets shipped up to Rainbow Foods in Juneau or down to Ivy Patch Produce in Wrangell. We are excited to start selling direct to eaters in Juneau through the Salt & Soil Marketplace!

We use all organic practices, no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers are used on our farm. We feed our soil (and thus, our plants) with all locally sourced amendments including compost, seaweed, fishmeal, crab shells and other gifts from the sea.
